Cybersecurity Awareness Training
Cybersecurity and IT Compliance manages annual security awareness training for faculty, staff, and persons of interest (POIs) throughout the UNT System. Security awareness training covers the basics of cybersecurity, current trends, best practices, and important policies regarding computer usage. Successful completion of this training is mandatory as required by institutional policies and Texas Government Code Sec. 2054.5191(a).
Employees
Cybersecurity and IT Compliance partnered with KnowBe4, an award-winning training platform, to provide update training modules each year. UNT, Dallas, and System employees take Cybersecurity Awareness Training through UNT Bridge. UNT Health employees take Information Security Awareness Training in the UNT Health Bridge tenant.

Information Owners Training
Information owners are typically department heads with operational or executive authority over specified information or information resources. The information owner’s role is to convey that security is everyone’s job and to ensure security strategies are in place at all times.
